Sugar Cane Production

Sugar, alcohol and organic compost

From Field to Plant

THE IMPRESSIVE ART OF THE SUGAR INDUSTRY

Photographing the production of a sugar and ethanol mill is a true journey in itself. The complexity of following the care in the Agro Universe until the harvest and the beginning of industrial production for the production of sugar, alcohol, and electric power. Total utilization.

In the end part of the bagasse can still be used for composting. Those piles and piles of bagasse that come out of the final process of sugar cane processing, the filter cake, besides being used to produce electricity can also be used in the composting process, becoming organic fertilizer.

Photographing this process brought me a good experience about the movement inside the mills, the production areas, and internal care.

Not to mention the many walks through breathtaking landscapes and the hospitality of the people from Minas Gerais.

Different Productive Areas

AGRO PHOTOGRAPHY OF A SUGAR MILL

Some photos in this album were produced in cooperation with a Belgian team from TBWA agency that came to produce a video for a Belgian finance company, it was one of the most intense experiences I have ever had in the field.

We spent 5 days together filming and photographing the production process at the Santo Ângelo Plant with the final focus on the compost bin, in action.

Those piles and piles of bagasse that come out of the final process of sugarcane processing, the filter cake, besides being used to produce electricity can also be used in the composting process, becoming fertilizer.

In a period of the year in which the weather oscillated between rain and sun, daily trips around the property, the plant and its universe and working together with an international team gave me an incredible experience and a lot of stories to tell.

Hired by Máquina Solo together with the Belgian company Menart, all the photography and filming I did was used to promote the product on national territory.

The composter of the Belgian brand Menart, sold in Brazil by the company Máquina Solo, is widely spread in Brazilian companies producing organic compost or even ETE in the use of sludge.

In this album I have some photos of the production of sugar derivatives of the company Centrosucar in Pirassununga-SP. A continuity of the production of sugar processing for use in food industries.
