Sugarcane Industry
Sugar, alcohol and energy production
from fied to plant
the impressive art of sugarcane industry
Photographing the production of sugar and alcohol mills is a real journey in itself. The complexity of following the care of this universe that goes from agriculture to industrial production. From laboratory improvements, sugarcane sprouts production, planting to harvesting and the production of sugar, alcohol and electricity. Total use of sugarcane.
In the end, part of the bagasse can still be used for composting. Those piles and piles of bagasse that come out of the final sugarcane processing process, the filter cake, as well as being used to produce electricity, can also be used in the composting process to become organic fertilizer.
Industrial photography, which is my specialty, has given me a magnificent insight into the inner workings of the mills, the production areas and internal and external care in the field.
Not to mention the many walks through breathtaking landscapes and the hospitality of everyone involved.
agro photography, photography of sugarcane industry and industrial sugar processing plants
It took days, at different times, mills and locations, to film and photograph the sugar-energy production process.
Those piles and piles of bagasse that come out of the final process of sugarcane processing, the filter cake, as well as being used to produce electricity, can also be used in the composting process to become fertilizer.
At different times of the year, the weather ranges from torrential rain to extreme sunshine, and I travel around the properties every day, going miles and miles from one mill to another and their different universes. I had the unique experience of visiting the largest boiler in Latin America and all the high technology involved, which left me impressed.
In this album I have some photos of the Santo Ângelo mills and 3 units of the Delta mill and the production of sugar derivatives by the Centrosucar company in Pirassununga-SP, a continuation of the production of processed sugar for use in the food industry.
